Which flange fits

The loose flange (lap joint flange) turns freely on the lapped end or the collar. This lets you align the bolt holes during installation. It is the usual choice on expansion joints and metal hoses.

The weld neck flange is butt welded to the pipe. Its long neck transfers the forces evenly into the pipe. It is suitable for high pressures, temperature changes and bending forces.

The plate flange is a flat flange that is slipped over the pipe and welded on. It is economical and suits lines without heavy bending or alternating loads.

Flange and expansion joint from one source

If you install an expansion joint, you often need the matching counter flanges. If you order both together, bolt circle, number of bolts and sealing face are sure to match. You receive one delivery and have one contact person.

To match, we supply stainless steel expansion joints and metal hoses.

Frequently asked questions

Does EN 1092-1 replace the old DIN flanges?

Yes. EN 1092-1 has replaced the former DIN flange standards, for example DIN 2633 for weld neck flanges PN 16. Bolt circle and number of bolts have mostly stayed the same. When replacing old flanges we check the dimensions for you.

Which sealing face do I need?

The most common is the raised face (type B1) with a flat gasket. The flat face (type A) suits counter flanges without a raised face, for example in cast iron or plastic. For tongue and groove, spigot and recess or O-rings there are types C to H. Tell us the type or the counter flange and we supply to match.

What does the 3.1 inspection certificate confirm?

The certificate to EN 10204 confirms the material and test values of the delivered batch. It is issued at the manufacturer by a department that is independent of production. We supply it on request.

Do you deliver throughout Switzerland and abroad?

Yes. Eurolog delivers flanges to the installation site throughout Switzerland and abroad, for example to Germany, Italy or France. We arrange transport, customs clearance on import into Switzerland and export documents.

Do you also supply flanges that are not listed here?

Yes. The details on this page are examples. We also source other sizes, materials and makes, replacements for older plants and special designs to drawing. For a first enquiry a photo, the nameplate or a sketch is enough.

What we need for a quotation

Nominal size, pressure rating, type, material, sealing face, quantity and required date. For special dimensions a drawing or a photo with dimensions is enough. If your part is not on this page, ask us anyway.

We supply customers in Switzerland and abroad. Every export enquiry is checked against Swiss export control and sanctions regulations.
